Saxman Michael Lington is using his popularity to help let others know help is there
March 27, 2009, Las Vegas, NV - Michael Lington began playing clarinet at age seven and remembers spending time as a young boy learning about the music industry from his grandfather Otto Lington, a Danish jazz pioneer and bandleader for Shirley Bassey, Josephine Baker and Fats Waller among many others. Michael says he's inspired by his upbringing to help other children experience music and that, in part, is his motivation to support AmeriFace, the non-profit organization whose mission is to provide information and emotional support to individuals with facial differences. March 16, 2009, Tampa, FL - Michael Mack, Jr. used to run marathons for fun, but now the motivation to push his body to the extreme comes from a desire to save others the years of confusion, suffering and social adjustments that he has lived. Michael was born with a cleft lip and palate. Now he runs marathons, half marathons, 10K, 5K and other races to raise funds, awareness and understanding through AmeriFace.
